Unable to Upload to LOTW

Post by VA3XOV »

I never had any issues uploading my QSO's to LOTW. Now, it is not working. The only thing that changed is I renewed my Callsign certificate with LOTW. Can't see how that would effect it. When I upload my QSO's now, the Upload Confirmation window stops after the 4th line. I left it for 1 hour but still nothing

INFO: ADIF File created successfully
INFO: TQSL Version 2.6.5
No private TQSL Password set
Executing TQSL with upload

Any ideas?

Check that the LOTW information matches that of the new cert, especially the location info

Why did you not state the Log4OM version number - Help/About

Hi Terry,

LOG4OM Version 2.23.0.0

I checked all of the info in TQSL and Log4OM and do not see any discrepancies.

Also, since I got this issue, when I close out Log4OM, I get this window "Forced Closure will take place after 60 seconds".

The message and forced closure is because LOTW dont send us an error message when the upload fails, it stops a freeze up which only can be overcome in the device manager.

The most common issue is a mismatch in the Station location e.g. G4POP-Home entered in Log4OM with extra spaces, wrong capitalisation, use of all or part of the location.

Try a manual upload from the Log4OM QSL manager and see if that works or provides some error messages.

Try uploading an ADIF file of new QSO's by using TQSL without Log4OM

Has to be something simple because it's working fine here and my guess its to do with the new cert details

Hi Terry, I always do a manual Upload for my LOTW. No error message, it just hangs.

I exported an adi file of the 28 QSO's that were in Requested status. I went into TQSL and was able to upload all the QSO's

I came in today, went to QSL Manager, Download Confirmations. 13 of the QSO's went from Requested to YES.

It is not Log4OM, and I am confident it is not LOTW. I will play around some more, but I may have to re-install Log4OM and see if that fixes the issue, as I must have done something to mess it up. I will keep you posted.

Hi Terry,

It took a lot of digging, but I finally found the issue. I go to Utilities, QSL Manager, I click Select Required. On the bottom logbook window, it populates all LOTW QSO's that have REQUESTED under the SENT column.

One time, I scrolled down to the bottom of the logbook, I found 3 QSO's that had the column SENT as REQUESTED, but under the RECIEVED column was YES. 40 QSO's had REQUESTED under Sent and Received columns.

What I did, I clicked ALL of the QSO's that had REQUESTED under the SENT and RECEIVED columns. So, 40 QSO's were highlighted, and 3 were not. I clicked on Upload select QSOS, and hit the green checkmark. IT WORKED!! :D

I just have to figure out how to get the QSO's with REQUESTED under SENT, changed to YES, to match the YES under the RECEIVED column.

Thanks

Use the QSL manager, instructions in our user guide and the three YouTube videos titled 'Confirmations'
