Post by K9AQ »

Is it possible to edit the available modes from this drop down list? I would like to add one, PKT

Don,

Go to: Settings / Resource Editor

Scroll down to mode list, edit and then save. The _user will be added to your modified/saved file and will then be in use once you restart Log4OM.

I have done that but it doesn't update the available modes on the drop down pick list from the new QSO entry screen.

Don,

What version of Log4OM are you using? The most current one is: v2.25.0.0

I also opened up the existing modlist.csv file in Log4OM and the PKT mode is already present in that file. So I don't see where you would have a need to add yet another presence of that mode.

I also then did a simple test to add a mode name via the Resource Editor I noted above. I edited the file, added the test mode, saved the file then closed the Resource Editor and then RESTARTED Log4OM.

Then I went to Settings / Program Configuration / User Preferences and scrolled through the 'Preferred Modes' list and noted that the test mode I added was visible for selecting and thus use in the Main UI dropdowns.

Have you looked at that location and maybe the changes you made are there? Also, as I noted, the PKT mode option is already present in the main modelist file so there should not be a need to add another listing.

So ... Start with what version of Log4OM you are using and review my steps above and see what your results are.

As best I can determine the Resource Editor feature is working FB.

Thanks for pointing out the user preferences. I missed that step.
