QRZ.com Look-up only partially working

Post by M7GVP »

Hello all, please forgive me as I'm brand new to the hobby and Log4OM, so this might be "user error". However I have a basic account on QRZ.com which I have added the details to setup of Log4OM. When I type a callsign in it returns the operator name, but not the grid reference. Is this normal?

Jon,

You must have at least an XML Data Subscriber membership with QRZ to get the more complete dataset from them.

Or you could also set up a 'free' account with HamQTH and get data from that site. It is not quite as robust at QRZ as HamQTH pretty much depends upon OMs to self-populate the data there. Some OMs do such and some do not.

Ah OK, that makes sense. I will take your advice and set up HamQTH.

Thank you.
