HamCall Internal

HamCall is the only external service provider that I have active. It is the primary with no failsafe. I set this up so I can use HamCall with NO Internet connection. In this configuration the user name is not returned. I have support request logs available but not sure I should post them here. Please advise.

Is all other information returned just name missing?

OK we probably missed something because we were only provided with a test file from Hamcall not a full data file as far as I recall, we will check

I appreciate it. It's handy to have the name as a second confirmation that I got the callsign right when doing POTA. Also, a nice personal touch to recognize someone for making contact.

Dan from Buckmaster kindly sent me the full Hamcall database this afternoon and I have tested extensivly and in every case the name is returned correctly.

Please post a screen shot of your settings/program configuration/info providers menu

and also the settings/program configuration/user preferences menu

Daniel, The Hamcall developer sent he sent an email and is providing the full version of hamcall for you to test with.

I dealt with IW3HMH from Italy last year that works/worked with LOG4OM and sent them the entire HamCall database as a download. It seemed like they got the HamCall/LOG4OM interface working along with name, because they sent me a screenshot of my callsign information showing up in the log as a test.

I will email Terry a new database and details on what they should be looking for regarding the name fields.
