Updating to 2.27.1.0

I would like to update my Log4OM from version 2.23.0.0 to the current 2.27.1.0. Will the installer simply replace the old version with the new version and still keep all of my settings and data? Or will I need to do some extra setup work?

Paul,

As you noted ... the installer will simply replace what you currently have installed.

Just as a failsafe make sure you have a current backup of your log, etc.. Tap: File / Execute backup to do a fresh backup.

You could also export an ADIF of your log, but if you already have the proper backups set in your current configuration you already have those stored somewhere on your local hard drive(s).

Nothing exotic.

Additional suggestion: 1) Be sure to "carefully" read the Release Notes once you install the update. 2) Download the "current" version of the User Guide at: Help / User Guide / English (force update) ...

It will take a moment or two and then open in your preferred PDF viewer.

The current U.G. release is: 23/03/2023 9:15 PM

It is updated often so I personally check for a new release at least once each week.

One more thing ... pls install the latest Beta V 2.27.1.2 March 24, 2023 ... It is technically a 'release candidate' and will again soon be updated with yet a newer 'beta'. I'm currently using/testing a ".5" release so there is more to come ... 'as always'.

Thank you! I installed the Beta 2.27.1.2 version without a problem. There is one minor issue with it... Each time that I start the software I get a notification that version 2.27.1.0 is available for download. How do I turn off that notification?

The 'update' prompt is controlled at: Settings / Configuration / Program Settings

There are two items you can enable / disable related to regular updates or BETA updates 'pending'.
