ARRL Changing LoTW URLs

Post by N5INP »

Don't know if this affects internal LOg4OM programmatic settings, but it looks like ARRL is changing LoTW URLs for logging in -
The ARRL IT department has scheduled network service on Friday May 2 from 12 to 8 am. (0400 - 1200 UTC)

This scheduled maintenance will affect all ARRL service and e-mail including Logbook of The World user account access, LoTW Help and LoTW Logs. The ARRL web site may remain on-line with limited function.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

LoTW is using a new server

If you are getting this message: "The ARRL Logbook of the World server is temporarily not accessible" chances are you are logging into LoTW through an old connection.

Be sure you are using the correct URL: https://LoTW.arrl.org/lotwuser/default

If your logging software is using the old URL please configure the program with the new URL provided.

http://www.arrl.org/logbook-of-the-world
As of right now, trying to log in yeilds this -

Fatal error: initializeLOTWDB: -9807 - Too many users (task limit): General database error [initializeLOTWDB: -9807 - Too many users (task limit)]

Well, my attempt to upload and download to LotW failed tonight. Server did not respond. Related? :(

I had the same problem for uploading yesterday at 15z.
I supposed something related to lotw unavailability as I was not able to log via web (I did not know about url change) andI did not do any more investigation.

Did not tried last night but could be a maintenance problem on the LotW servers ..... tested 5 minutes ago and LotW Up-/Download works well ..... ;) ;)

P.S. looked to the LotW Page and found this information from April 30, 2014:
Apr 30, 2014: LoTW will be Off-line May 3 0400Z- 1200Z -- Notice: This website will be off-line for scheduled maintenance on May 3, 2014 between 0400 and 1200 UTC. Most ARRL systems will be off-line during this time.

And it is still off today! they most be having some problems with the server and there is no need to change URL since that was already done with the new release.
