CAT problem w/ omnirig 1.2, Windows 11

Post by WB0WHD »

I'm not seeing the frequency in the CAT screen but I can change bands and mode clicking buttons there. I should not be seeing "OFFLinE" right?
with Windows 11,
"run as administrator" didn't work so that's unset now,
FWIW, wsjt reports "omnirig is not responding",

Here are my settings:

Allan,

First off - what version of Log4OM are you using? Don't say "latest" as that doesn't help. Need to know the Version ID.

Then ... go back to basics. Get Log4OM communicating directly with your rig via CAT. Do NOT have any other 3rd party
APPs turning on and running ... IE: WSJTx, JTAlert, etc., etc..

You do not need to run anything in Admin mode.

I'm assuming you let Log4OM select the default installation folders when you installed it originally.

Get the basics working first then start adding your FTxx APPs "one at a time" and test and make sure all elements keep working.

FWIW - when I run FTxx I use WSTJx and JTAlert and I've never had to run my installation in Admin mode. There are some other Log4OM Team Members who always run in Admin mode and I personally think that is not wise ... but that is the way I operate.

Again ... go back to basics and get the Omnirig CAT communicating with your rig first ... then take it one step at a time from there.
