I had been using Log4OM2 for over a year with my Flex 6400. A few weeks ago while on the air and all normal I shut everything down.
Returning later that day I started everything back up and I found I could not get CAT to connect under Hamlib (which I had been using all along). I am connecting the Flex and computer via ethernet. No additional programs running. When It was all working well I was able to load Slice-Master 6000 when I wanted it. Firewall settings have not changed.
The only way to get CAT to work is by loading OmniRig to a VSP in Flex CAT and re-configuring Settings in Log4OM.
I am operating under Windows 10 on a Dell i5 with SmartSDR v3.4.23
I would appreciate any advice on steps I have missed.
Thanks

Re: CAT Management - FLEX
N4RA - I didn't see an answer to your post. I've been running Log4OM, Slice Master, and SmartSDR for my Flex6600 successfully for over a year. But something changed recently and it stopped working, I think when I upgraded to Log4OM v2.30 - no errors in the log but Log4OM showed "OFFLINE"
I reinstalled Hamlib 4.5.5, and changed my CAT config in Log4OM to connect to active HAMLIB instance using default port 4532. I'm also running SliceMaster v0.11.0g (latest version) and have TCP CAT TX Listener set to TCP Port 7820.
That resolved issues for now, and I didn't have to worry about OmniRig, admin privs etc, etc. Full writeup here: https://first100years.blogspot.com/2023 ... om-v2.html
