Check yaesu menu 034 and see what bad rate is set then make sure its same in Omnirig
We could message each other till the cows come home without success whereas a few minutes on Skype could fix it

Re: no cat control
hi terry I get your point but i won't risk it again . I've checked the rate and its the same. as i previously stated nothing in omni rig changed it just stopped working I've done installs of omni rig again and now 3 versions of lo4om 2 normal and 1 beta ..the cat works perfect on my old hrd so that discounts a lead or radio problem .
thanks for the advice but i dont have the time to continue today I have other stuff to be getting on with .must say after years of use this is the first issue I've ever had
kind regards
George

Re: no cat control
Please check the com port the Yaesu is connected to by watching the device manager/Ports (COM & LPT) folder while you unplug the CAT cable and re-connect - The port will vanish as you unplug and re-apear when re-connected - Note the com port number
Then ensure that port number is the one selected in Omnirig
Please dont say its OK in HRD I already commented about that being automatic com port search if set.

Re: no cat control
hi terry as ive also stated about hrd is to tell you that the radio or the lead is not the issue . and as also said nothing has changed all ports are as they have been for a long time . i have connected and reconnected I've done everything i can think of and the result is the same .its shows offline . i have done everything you suggested and again it remains offline . this morning i reinstalled the 2.32.1 and checked I've now reinstalled the beta and checked and in every case i checked the port and baud rate and nothing has changed its as it was for long time . i don't see what else we can do so thanks for your time .my next step will be disconnection of the ftdx9000 and connecting my ft2000 i have all the com and baud rate written for that to see what happens . might take me a day or 2 as I've now got work to do

Re: no cat control
My HRD comment was about automatic selection of the Com port I was not alluding to the radio or cable.

no all i did was upload a adif to my documents to send to lotw and it just stopped working . hope you got yours sorted ,as yet mine remains offline no matter what i do . all my com ports and board rates remain as they where before i did the adif . I've not had another chance a yet to investigate further .
