Post by ik3umt »

In latest releases a cluster watchdog was introduced ( am I rigth ? )
I've noted no more spots are shown after a cluster connection failure , this is what telnet cluster shows :

and so on...

I have to manually disconnect cluster and reconnect.

Any suggestion ?

I've also experienced 'occasional' Telnet drops since the release of V 2.31.0.0 ... Been very hard to pinpoint, but the 'occasional' drops are at least now noted in the logfile.

That file will show a cluster reconnect, but that reconnect will not translate to again showing active spots in the Cluster (F8) tab.

I typically use ve7cc or one of Lee's associated clusters all with the same results. I also use hamalert for POTA, SOTA and have the same results.

I've tested with a simple 'local' Telnet connection to CC-User on my laptop and will also lose that connection.

I've also tested being connected to the same cluster with other APPs (IE: CC-User and others) and have never experienced a Telnet drop during the times Log4OM drops the Telnet connection.

Again ... it is sporadic and different operating or spot flow does not have an impact in causing the drop.

I know Lele is aware and am hopeful it is on his 'debug' list as you have noted the recent item in the Release Notes.

My solution is the same as yours: Manually disconnect and then reconnect.
