I have been using LOG4OMv2 for a few years now, and have noticed several times that the connection between the program and the database is lost.
Until now I have pressed backup after every shutdown of the program.
Normally this should not happen, because the program automatically creates a backup.
This way I can always restore a backup whenever necessary.
But it is frustrating to enter 20 to 25 QSL cards again, because you lost the database connection with your call.sql file.
The info is in the call.sql file, but not in the backup file, because it has not been created yet.
Apparently no backups are taken every so often.
Let's say a backup every 5 minutes.
This way the repairs in the database would be easy.
On the other hand, I don't know exactly what the reason is why the database is suddenly no longer found, because the SQL file is still present in the folder.
And yet the software can no longer connect to the file.
The program usually loses the database connection if, for example, you update LOTW or QRZ.COM where many operations are performed.
It is now the 5th time that I restart the database connection when entering a received QSL card.
The program is open and I am working in QSL Manager.
Enter the call, then open the qso because I still have to fill in a few info for an award (DOK, IPA, Province, etc.)
You cannot do this by simply pressing qsl receive.
So the database gets an operation.
I don't use a transceiver during this operation, so I don't think USB link (CAT) interference is causing the database to "disappear".
I don't know if anyone else has this problem with this program. But I see this pop up on a regular basis in this forum.
Question: can the backup time be set to, for example, 3 minutes or changed?
