Hi Folks
I've been running FT-8 on my IC-7300 using WSJT-x with windows 7 and everything works fine using just the CAT cable.
Last night I configured Log4OM2 to capture the adif files and WALA, it actually worked.
This morning I turned on the rig with everything set the same and have a conflict . If I turn on Log4OM, the FT8 shuts off
and it asks me If I want to reconfigure. Log4OM will run on the other USB with the other cable from the IC7300, but that
conflicts with the WSJT-x.
Anyone run into this problem?
Andy

Re: Conflict between Log4OM and WSJT-x
Its not a problem! you have it set up incorrectly which is causing a com port conflict
See our user guide re setting up CAT with WSJT, whereby you use Omnirig in Log4OM which multi threads and set your JT software to use Omnirig (Rig 1 or 2) NOT YOUR ICOM!
You should also read the information in the user guide and other documents we have published regarding using UDP for the logging side instead of the ADIF method.

1. Use Omnirig, not Hamlibhubertk wrote: 16 Nov 2024, 14:44 Can U please write sth more how to solve this problem. We are two hams from Poland having 891 and having this issue. We have to turn off log4om when we want wsjtx. Its pretty anoying. Thank You for Your help.
2. Run Log4OM, Omnirig and WSJT to 'Run as an administrator' (Instructions in our user guide)
3. In WSJT radio control DO NOT SELECT YOUR RADIO instead select Omnirig Rig1 or 2 to match that selected in Log4OM
The above will resolve the comport conflicts that you are experiencing and CAT will synchronise in both programs

I have all the things set well BUT when I tick Data/Pkt and Rig then the split turns on and in my opinion this is the problem bc wsjtx decodes but does not send the message. It airs eg 7075 but listens 7074. It also turns spl mode in my 891. This is the only option when wsjtx decodes. in other options of mode does not work.
When I switch into Admin mode nothing changes.

Also check you have DTR/RTS set correctly in Omnirig or have wrong Omnirig rig ini selected

Hello, so now there is no conflict everything seems to be ok BUT nothing is decoded, the radio miaos but wsjtx doesn not decode anything, neither grid tracker shows anything. What can be the problem?
Re: Conflict between Log4OM and WSJT-x
I am curious why this board admin / developer is getting so impatient with questions....this isn't a good look for Log4OM.

Re: Conflict between Log4OM and WSJT-x
Decode issues are usually because the wrong audio device is selected in WSJThubertk wrote: 18 Nov 2024, 17:14 Hello, so now there is no conflict everything seems to be ok BUT nothing is decoded, the radio miaos but wsjtx doesn not decode anything, neither grid tracker shows anything. Not sure if your radio connection has an audio codec or just an audio connection to your soundcard but check the WSJT audio setting to start with

ok but when I choose radio in wsjtx everything is ok. The problem is when I choose omnirig.
