Hi,
Log4om is my main logging program but i would like to change the main profile/call to an temporary special call sign, to make qso's with this callsing.
I searched but i can't find the solution yet.
My approach, was search for change profile where a different profile could be different callsign, different location, different eqipment. Or in this case only a change of callsign, and make shure all the logs i make can be exported to a adif to upload.
I can't imagine it is not possible to switch in an easy way from one config to another where database, setting files are as a set change from call a to call b with all settings you want to use line rig control, location etc.
Or is it not possible and should i install for this special situation another type of software?
Regards
Eelco

Settings/ program config/ station info - change station call sign- save and apply

In that case you will be messing up the database with different call?
I need to export adifs, and i could make use of filters as an option.
But also in case of logging during pota or mobile logging and or during hollydays making use of calls in the different countrys would be nice
When on hollydays grid will change, and prefixes will be used.
My main config should be stable, the mobile configs and or different calls should easy to flip but maybe it is that easy.
When on hollyday in lets say germany, my prefix is during that days the same, the rig is the mobile set, and not the permanent set so the configu would look different, other rig, other cat control, other location.

Re: Using special calls
Your choice but I have been using Log4OM with different calls, locations, on holliday and when portable for years by just changing the station data, then afterwards filtering on the specific call sign, locator etc
Lets face it if your out for the day on a summit or at a park it only takes secconds to change and then change back afterwards, creating a new config and restarting the software takes far longer - think KISS

Hi all
Carefull on uploads to LoTW.
You will need to update these settings, and change them back...

Re: Using special calls
That is exactly the reason i was searching for profiles.
Flipping from one config to another
Flipping from one grit to another
Flipping from one call to another.
And yes i could change the call, and filter and create an adif but when there are errors in the database and or uploads it is quite a job to repair it.
Maybe just because i am a newbee
