Hey folks,
I tried to search but couldn't find my specific issue - but I'll keep digging as maybe this has been asked.
I know that in most scenarios, all roads lead to LOG4OM, and then he will upload to any cloud services (QRZ, LOTW, etc).
What I want to do is :
All roads lead to LO4OM and he will upload to QRZ - but QRZ is the only person who uploads to LOTW.
Intended workflow is: WSJT-X (or similar program) -> Gridtracker -> Log4OM -> QRZ -> LOTW.
Getting the QSOs to arrive in LOG4OM is easy. Getting the QSOs to upload to QRZ is also easy.
The problem I am finding is that once the QSO arrives at QRZ, it's "flagged" in someway that QRZ thinks it doesn't need to go to LOTW. I've tried various permutations of the "confirmations" defaults, but none work. Each time, when I go into QRZ to say "upload to LOTW" it'll say "no QSO's need to be uploaded - they're all there."
Yes, I know I should just configure LOG4OM to upload to both QRZ and LOTW, but for now, I don't want to do that.
How can I configure to get my intended result?
Thanks
John, N4TII

Re: Yet another LOTW question
How is the lotw sent status for these qso's set, yes, no, ignore or what?

Re: Yet another LOTW question
I've tried "default confirmation / LOTW" as "No", "Requested" and "Ignore" and all do the same thing.
Once the QSO arrives at QRZ - and then from QRZ's UI I manually upload, it says that everything's been sent already / nothing to send.

I am not concerned with what you have tried I wanted to know what an incoming QSO from one of the many programs in your processing chain is marked as in respect of LOTW sent status, however moving on........................
Then we have to assume that another program in the chain has already uploaded to LOTW check the menus in the other programs

Re: Yet another LOTW question
OK.
Let's ignore any other software feeding to log4om for the moment.
Log a few SSB qsos in Log4om - upload those to QRZ - and then upload those to LOTW: They dont upload.
(Log a few SSBs direct to QRZ.Com and upload those... works. no issues - as that's what I've been doing for years)
There's a setting I've set somewhere in log4om that by the time it makes it to lotw, lotw ignores it and wont process it as a new qso.

Re: Yet another LOTW question
If you have not set Log4OM to upload to LOTW then nothing will change that would affect a LOTW upload by other programs.
Have you tried uploading to LOYW from Log4OM QSL manager?
Have you tries exporting an ADIF file from Log4OM and uploading that manually to QRZ and then tries a QRZ to LOTW upload?

Re: Yet another LOTW question
Default setting for LOTW Sent/Received is "no / no"
Logged a fictitious "2m FM" QSO with a friend. Export selected to ADIF / Import ADIF @ QRZ. Select QSO / Upload to LOTW - FAIL.
(Take another QSO that was manually input at QRZ / select / upload - SUCCESS.
I'm going to export this last entry on QRZ and see if I can see a difference in "what was sent" vs "what was received" .

Re: Yet another LOTW question
Check the lotw upload status in the ADIF (use notepad or adifmaster) it should be no
If it is then the issue is with qrz reading the adif file
If it is then the issue is with qrz reading the adif file

Re: Yet another LOTW question
SOLVED. TL/DR = Station Config Error.
Made 3 exports:
1. Log4OM contact ADIF export.
2. QRZ-import-from-log4om ADIF export.
3. QRZ-originated ADIF export.
Noticed that "MY ITU ZONE" was incorrect. When filling out my station information, I guess I presume that once I dropped in a grid, everything else would fall into place. Nope - LOG4OM had me as ITU Zone 6 (west coast US) - and I'm in ITU Zone 8 (east coast US).
Apparently there's some error checking at LOTW - and if your grid square and ITU Zone dont match, it rejects the import.
Moral of the story: Check all your values on the Station ID - Grid Square, ITU Zone, CQ Zone, etc, etc.
Thanks for the suggestions on the ADIFs - looking at all 3 in ADIF Master helped figure out the problem.

Re: Yet another LOTW question
John,
TQSL does that checking.
You need to keep things current and correct with your TQSL information as that is the vehicle all loggers use to transmit uploads to LOTW.
