DX Clusters/Notifications

Post by WC2L »

Hi Folks,
Still struggling with Log4OM. Getting connected to a cluster is easy. The node resides right next to me.
The Cluster is connecting, spots coming across..
The issue is seeing bands/modes that I need. Right now just chasing DXCC with bands/modes. I know the spots are there. I use the old program to compare.
A great example is the VU4AX spots. In Log4OM, there is not one of the spots for VU4AX.
I do see "Throttling enabled" but I don't see where to shut that off. Tried to find it..

I find the band map useless with FT spots. I did figure out how to eliminate them. Sometimes I still want to see them in the Cluster #1 view. I figured out how to add/remove those.

I want to get rid of my old logging program, but I can quickly do most things in that. I can see that I will need to upgrade the PC. Too much lag to make it useful.

Take a look at the app / on line portal called HamAlert.
It monitors "spot" data from 5 sources. I just started using it and from what I see it should be easy to integrate with LOG4OM
Reach out to me directly and I can share some links
I have it on my iPad and phone. You can request it monitor any call, with options to apply many filters and "triggers"

I may take you up on chatting about other features/services. I .
For me, I'm not seeing all of the spots and I don't know why there is throttling.
