Post by KB1FGC »

I had trouble with the new version. It wasn't saving my logs.So I download the program again and reinstalled the program and it seemed to be working. Now tonight the same thing happened again. The calls won't save to the logbook
I am running Windows 11 on a Dell Laptop

Hi Terry.Yes it is on a single drive and not partitioned if I understand your question. It is not on Microsoft One Drive in the cloud.I always have had the SQlit file in the same spot and never had an issue till I uploaded to the latest version.
I uninstalled LOG4OM then reinstalled it and it seemed to work. But will have to check it again and see if it is still working.Any suggestion?
Thanks

Still not saving the QSO's after reinstalling LOG4OM and then loading up the program a day later. Will try to roll back to the previous version till a new update.

Rolling back wont do it, thousands of other users dont have this issue so its a local issue!

Try a re-install with firewalls and anti virus turned off

Sounds more like a widows update has changed permissions?

Make a backup as an ADIF file then try creating a new database in a different location and see if you can save QSO's to it. If that works OK import the ADIF backup

When you stated 'New version' you were refering to updating an existing VERSION 2 of Log4OM were'nt you? NOT updating from VERSION 1 to version 2 of Log4OM? If the latter read the user guide about how to update!
