SET MODE does not work ( Remote Control interface v.1.1)

Hi OMs,
I am trying to change the mode with the Remote Control interface v.1.1. According to the manual I use this to
SetMode:

<RemoteControlMessage>SetMode</RemoteControlMessage>
<Mode>USB</Mode>
</RemoteControlRequest>

But no success. The mode does not change. I noticed that, whenever I sent this "command", the RST fields clear and come back... kinda a flicker but the mode does not change. I had a problem with the SetRXFrequency but that was quickly answered by IW3HMH. It is a typo in the manual.
Am I missing something or is this another typo? OR is this command not supported any longer.
