I use Log4OM as my master station log, but use WriteLog for contesting.
Then, post contest, I import an ADIF from WriteLog to Log4OM.
Is there a way to import the contest QSO's to the same QSL status default as on Settings>QSL and Labels?
That way I could import the contest log, then upload to LoTW from Log4OM.

Re: Import defaults
Only if writelog uses the standard ADIF definition
Send me a writelog ADIF and I will advise

Here is a snippet from a WriteLog ADIF. I can send a complete file via email if you wish.G4POP wrote:Only if writelog uses the standard ADIF definition

Re: Import defaults
All fields that start App_wrielog are program specific fields, not standard ADIF data - these are the fields containing the data that you refer to!
It would be impossible for Log4om to be programmed to recognise program specific fields for all of the hundreds of different programs and it would only be possible if every program author sent us details of his app specific fields. e.g. How are we to know what <APP_WRITELOG_ZM:2> 4 refers to?
The interpreter for this, assuming the information was supplied by the various developers, would be larger than the Log4om program!

Re: Import defaults
BTW I notice that there is no "RTX" field in the Writelog ADIF fields or contest I.D. so it's not even providing all of the contest data, perhaps you should consider moving to N1MM or SD for the sake of accuracy?
Alternatively have you tried the Log4om contest facility, at least we use the correct ADIF data and all QSO's would then be marked with the default QSL status selected by you?

Re: Import defaults
I may have not made my request clear in the first message.
I have been importing WriteLog ADIF files to Log4OM for some time. The information provided by WriteLog is sufficient to my master log needs (Call, Date, Time, QRG).
I am asking whether there is a way, during the import, for Log4OM to set the QSL Status defaults on the Menu item "Settings > QSL and Labels".
I would like Log4OM to set the LoTW "Request" flag on, so that Log4OM will have the imported QSO's flagged to send the contacts to LoTW on my next upload.
I know that I can directly send the contest log to LoTW via TQSL, but then the Log4OM master log will not reflect that upload.
Regarding your alternative (use Log4OM for contesting), I must say that I love Log4OM for keeping my master log, and for day-to-day hamming, but it can't be considered a serious contesting application.

Re: Import defaults
I just uploaded my All Asia DX Contest log from this weekends contest.
Now, having gone through this exchange, I am embarrassed to find that Log4OM does exactly what I was asking you for! My apologies.

If after importing your contest log you use the LOTW upload provided in Log4om instead of doing it manually with TQSL then the master log will be automatically marked as sent "Y" and the date sent will be added.
Similarly using the Log4om LOTW download facility will automatically annotate your master log with the LOTW QSL received status.
