LH suffixes

Post by K7PT »

I've noticed a number of calls that have as a suffix, LH for light house. This is causing the country to be resolved incorrectly which is not the fault of Log4OM.

The program cannot properly resolve calls when stations venture from standards and LH=Light Houses is not a proper suffix. The only acceptable suffixes are AM, P, MM, M, etc.

Thought I'd mention this before users of Log4OM begin a thread about this.

If the user works one of these, i.e. IQ6PS/LH, Log4OM will resolve it as Norway instead of Italy which will require the user to select the proper country from the drop-down.

Hi Chuck,

thank´s for information. I´ve seen in the past years that station which using /LH or /LGT use this only as information that they are locatet at a lighthouse or lightship but when they uploading to the LotW ans eQSL they only use the real call without any extension. If anybody use this wrong extension when logging a atation like this most times he will not get a match when eQSL or LotW confirmation arriving.

So better to log the station only with the correct call without /LH or /LGT. :!: :!:
