HI there,
I am using Log4OM and I have set the program to automatically upload my QSOs to eQSL. They are uploading to eQSL, but I have to confirm or reject every QSO listed in eQSL. I am not sure why this is happening, perhaps it is a slight time difference between my eQSL record and the other stations, but it didn't happen when I was using another logging program. Does have anyone have idea why this is happening please?
Also, in the QSL section of Log4OM: I am not sure what is the difference between Y - Yes Confirmed and V - Validated.
Thanks and 73,
Bob.

Re: Uploads to eQSL - Confirm or Reject
Automatic upload doesn't affect your data.
If you load automatically each QSO or you send an ADIF file the result is exactly the same, so it's strange...
Usually LOTW/EQSL uses a wide time frame to accept QSO as valid (+- 30 minutes if i remember correctly) so this is not an issue...
Probably this issue is related to something else (but it's strange that all your QSO has time mismatch on the other side).
Anyone else experienced the same issue?
ADIF team protocol has made some mistakes and some bad choices in the past (still continue to do that...
)
V status means that a QSL has been received = YES but that the QSL has been VERIFIED for the purposes of the ARRL DXCC.
QSL received status should not be mixed with specific awards status (as DXCC is), but that is and we should deal with. QSL received should be placed in Y status (received = YES).
If you have your QSL validated by DXCC desk you can switch them to V.

No reports from other users, perhaps the ADIF that was imported had issues with the time, what software did the user use before?

When a QSL CARD is received it is marked Y - Yes (Confirmed) - The QSO is confirmed
Now you take the card to a card checker and if all is OK with the QSL card then he marks the card as Validated for submission for award credit
LOTW is different!
When the other station uploads the QSO to LOTW and it gets matched to a QSO that you have uploaded it is a "Confirmed" QSO but then this QSO is immediately "Validated" so the Y-Yes (Confirmed) state with LOTW just exists for a few milliseconds because it is validated immediately for future use to claim award credit

Yes, but also the field used is different.
QSL status is related to PAPER QSL (validated by someone with your QSL on his hands)
LOTW status is the one that came down from LOTW website.
