QSL defaults

Post by G4DWV »

As per Terry's video, I set my QSL defaults to 'no' in the settings. But when I upload to LOTW, the statuses are all 'requested'.

How can I get 'no' to show?

How are you uploading to LOTW?

When you upload the status should automatically change to Y-yes and the upload date should be inserted

Hi Terry,

Yes all that happens, but I wanted to do as you did in your video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yLT3UuMlocc, set the defaults to 'no' for the same reason that you mention at 1' 10'' into the video.

I have set the options as per the video, but in spite of that, my LOTW sent and received default statuses are still 'R - requested'.

Guy,

Any QSO's recorded before you select the option N-No will not be changed - You can bulk update the QSL sent and received status of existing QSO's by using the QSO Archive manager

Only QSO made after you set the QSL status to N-N0 will be recorded as No

Just a thought! have you been back into the options to see that the status is still set to No - Perhaps you forgot to save the settings?

Terry,

I can confirm that the options are still 'no'. QSOs made since the change are not responding as requested. Just to check, I have just made a QSO to test, and it is not 'no', but 'requested. Your video talks about importing logs. Do the comments apply equally to QSOs logged in Log4OM itself?

For the benefit of other users we identified Guys issue as follows.

His QSO's we made using JTAlert and the LOTW status flag in JTAlert was set to "Requested" so when the QSO was sent to Log4om this was the status recorded.

Log4om does not change the status of incoming QSO's from external programs regardless of the default status set in the Log4om options.

QSO's saved from within Log4om were being saved with the correct default LOTW QSL Sent status
