QSO end date and time

Post by kc9lox »

Maybe I'm missing something in a setting looking for some guidance. When I put in a QSO I have to manually open the log, and click on the check mark for QSO end date and time and sometime have to change dates. The QSO start date and time already are correct and am checked. Does anyone know what needs done for this or just easier to leave it blank. It gets old going manually into each log to edit. Thank you

I believe that you are adding the QSO as soon as you enter the call sign etc? This will cause the start and end times to be just a second or so apart.

The correct method is as follows

1. Check the "Set start time when leaving the call sign field" box in Options/Settings 1 tab and click save

2. Enter the call sign of the other station to be worked in the the "Callsign" field of the QSO entry panel

3. When the contact is made tab out of the call sign field or click into another field - This action of leaving the call sign field sets the start time

4. At the end of the QSO either press enter on the keyboard or click the "ADD" button - This action records the QSO to the log and sets the end time.

Below is a screen shot of two QSO's entered as above

OK. that fixed the time part, but after the QSO is saved I still have to double click on the QSO and the end date is still unchecked. I have attached a picture of what I'm trying to get checked.

Unless the QSO goes over midnight there is no date change and no action is required by you in this edit box
