I am a new user to Log4OM. I have been using it with my Yaesu FT 857D.
Now, I want to use it with my Kenwood TS 2000. I was able to get the software to connect to the TS 2000. However, when I double click on a line in the cluster, the radio beeps as if something is wrong. Has anyone else had this problem and can you tell me how I might correct it?
Thanks,
Fred P.

Re: Log4OM Connection to TS 2000
What are you using Omnirig or Hamlib?
Does the frequency and mode follow in Log4om when you tune the rig?
Are you sure the radio is not in memory or satellite mode
Is "Sky" turned off in the rig
What interface cable are you using, it should be a straight serial cable not a "Null modem" cable

Answers in order of questions:
Omnirig
Yes
Not in satelitte mode....2 meter/440 side has memory channels programmed in, but not the HF side
This is the TS 2000, for which Sky is apparently not applicable
Interface cable is the USB 63 by RT systems
Hope this helps!!!!

Re: Log4OM Connection to TS 2000
I had a TS2000 and Sky worked on that OK
Please double check the settings on the radio it seems to me that you have a menu set incorrectly

I checked and Sky is turned off.
Can you give me a hint as to where to start in the menus....there are a lot of them.
Thanks,
Fred P.

Re: Log4OM Connection to TS 2000
Before we go any further let's clarify something
Are you saying
1. that double clicking a cluster spot does not change the frequency, band and mode on the rig?
Or
2. That the double click on a spot does change the frequency band and mode?

Re: Log4OM Connection to TS 2000
The double click does change the frequency, band, and mode, but the radio makes a sound kind of like it does when the automatic tuner can't tune a particular frequency.

Page 74 of the TS2000 user guide states
Seems this is normal so if it offends turn the Beep function off as detailed on page 74 menu number 12The Beep function provides you confirmation of entry, error status, and malfunctions of the transceiver.............. The transceiver generates Morse code to tell you which mode is selected when you change operating modes.

Re: Log4OM Connection to TS 2000
Thanks very much Terry....you can tell that I am relatively new to the hobby and the TS 2000. I just didn't want to do anything to mess up the radio.
Many thanks and I hope you have a great day!!!!
