Hi all.
Just started to use Log40M.
I have contacts in the SOTA log database (in the UK) & would like to import or merge these CSV files (only CSV available) into my existing files in Log40M. Is this possible?? If not, What about a conversion program?.
Thanks
Paul

Re: Import CSV into SOTA QSO database
Do the QSO's that you will download from the SOTA website already exist in you Log4om database or are they new QSO's

Thanks for the fast reply..
No these are new CSV contacts.
As I have just started to use Log40M, I have a few new contacts in Log40M & 1,800 on the soto database.. A bit to many to enter by hand.

Re: Import CSV into SOTA QSO database
Paul,
The facility in Log4om only merges a SOTA CSV with an existing QSO to update the SOTA ref for the contact.
We don't have a system for importing a CSV file of new QSO's
You need a CSV to ADIF converter and then import the ADIF file into Log4om
Try http://www.on6zq.be/w/index.php/SOTA/SOTA2ADIF

Re: Import CSV into SOTA QSO database
Hi Terry.
I did try the conversion program.. it looked to work ok.. but left a lot of info out like date & country on Recent QSO tab.
And on Edit QSO all SOTA information was missing, The Band was missing as well as the comments.
Any clues Terry?

Thats the reason we did not include an import only a merge - missing data!
Please email me your SOTA download csv and I will see what can be done

Re: Import CSV into SOTA QSO database
but, again, csv from SOTA aren't enough to rebuild basic informations for QSO...

Re: Import CSV into SOTA QSO database
I manually converted Paul's SOTA.CSV file into an ADIF file and he was able to successfully import it into Log4om so I think he is happy!
