Help Needed

Appears I have created a problem! the program was working FB until I tried to make rig 2 work now I get a picture of a Lock beside my mode and frequency display every thing else works (Cluster, Access to QRz ETC.) I have HRD and it hooks up to my computer but can't get LOG40 connected. What am I doing wrong???

What Log4Om release version - Help/about?
What rigs?
Are you using Hamlib or Omnirig?
What interfaces are you using

The padlocks alongside frequency and mode are new additions for people that are not using CAT control

Thanks Terry, The Rif is an FT-2000 using the latest ver. Log40M and Omnirig. as I said earlier I have been running this with no problems. Yesterday I tried to make Rig 2 for MY FT-900 and never could get that going, Then when I went back to rig 1 it wouldn't work with my FT-2000 every thing else works the QRZ Search works and the Cluster is working fine. Also when I use HRD the program hooks right up so I know that the cat is working between the computer and the Rig I did a complete delete and reload of the program no luck. I'm running windows 8 also.

OK after a re-boot of the computer turn on the 2000 and then start Log4OM

Assuming that it does not connect (Red Cat status indicator) just leave it alone for a minute and then go to the help menu and select 'Show log' and then in the log window go to File/Save as - And email me the file please.

Terry here is the log file. However, the green cat light is on but the locks are still there and no freq. display or mode

You have something set incorrectly with Omnirig, could be both rigs using the same port or wrong Baud rate.

Remember that HTD does not use Omnirig so it is not an indicator that all is OK only that the interface cable and rig are working, nothing else. your issue is in Omnirig.

The log file shows that Log4OM is talking to Omnirig but Omnirig is not sending any information to Log4OM

The locks will always be there but are only in operation when there is no CAT connection to Omnirig or Hamlib

Thanks Terry, I have run out of ideas. I uninstalled Omni-rig and reinstalled it did a complete reboot of computer and set up Omni rig like it was when the program worked with it. Still no luck. I run another logging program UR5EQF which uses Omni rig, and it works just fine. This is very strange as Log40 was working correctly for several months with no problems. The only thing I changed was to try and get a 2nd rig running, when I had no success with that I clicked back too Rig 1 and the problem begin.
I love this program and will continue trying to get it working correctly once more.

Try setting rig 2 to no rig in the Omnirig program and close Omnirig

Re-open Omnirig and reset every setting for rig 1 - Like change the com port to another port and then back to the correct port.

Close Omnirig by using the task manager and also close Log4OM

Now open Log4OM and see if rig 1 connected properly

Have you tried downloading the ini files from the Omnirig web site and overwriting your existing Omnirig ini files just in case you have a corrupted file?
