Can' connect to radio

Hello: I am brand new to Log40m, and this is my first attempt at posting. I am unsure how much info to supply, but here goes.

I follow the steps on page 25 of the manual, and here is what I get:

1. I click on the headphone ikon.

2. Cat management screen with all the pertinent info on my K3 entered. The connect box is colored in red. Here is where I am stuck.
No matter what I try, i never succeed in connecting.

I would appreciate it if this could be straightened out. If you need more information, please advise.

Please instal Omnirig and follow the instructions for connecting with that instead of Hamlib, you will fing it easier and more trouble free
