Updating Instructions?

This will be my first time updating. I there any special procedure? Just install over the old version? Will it retain all my preference settings? Perhaps there is a link with all these answers?

1) save a copy of your LOG in ADIF in a safe place (not needed, but it's a good practice for every update)
2) if you have 1.20 installed, just run the new installer on top of the previous one
3) enjoy
