Well the Bother QL 570 will produce a label 62 mm high and as long as you like and you can incorporate photos, graphics and text, if you need larger you would need to resort to a graphics program for the generic print then overprint the QSO information with Log4om

For UK users this printer is currently on special offer at Amazon UK as are the 38x90 mm DK labels
When I go to Amazon.co.uk I do not see any offers for the label printer, it's going for £39.98 on the page I am looking at. Just bought an hand held radio so would have to earn more goodie points from Mrs G4DWV to spend more on myself when we have two teenagers (   ) with one starting to drive next month.

Doesn't the output of thermal printers fade over time? Are other label printers supported?

Now we support sheet and roll printers it's just a matter of making a template in the label design facility

Regarding fading here is a quote from the Brother web site
Brother’s new Professional label printers for modern businesses: QL-570 and QL-580N. Enjoy the following features with these models:
Built-in auto cutter
Print speed of 68 labels per minute
Compact and ergonomic design
Long-lasting and fade-resistant labels

Other manufacturers have similar statements.

Seems the thermal paper is coated to prevent fading

Looks like there have been some advances since I last looked at thermal printers.
Cheers Terry
