Daniele explained in his reply to you in this thread that if you use the double click on a QSO and "Save and exit" the window has to refresh - Perhaps something was lost in translation but that is what he said.
The screen is designed to be used in the way I have illustrated which unfortunately is not what you expected, but the "Don't refresh on save" does work when using it in the intended manor.
If you use it the way I described you will find it is faster than your method.

I will give the way you described a go.
I would respectfully suggest some change in the wording for this feature as it works under a specific situation.

Re: Disable refresh on save
As an excercise I created this label using our QSL manager CSV export as a data source for my Brother QL570 printer.
Imported the data, designed the label and included the data fields on the label - Printed large labels 2.4 x 5.5 inches each with a separate QSO information
Final print was of course greyscale, not colour

Wow Terry, much better. That is very impressive.
I would like to have more room to personalise my QSL card more. I think the end result of some printed station info and logos, a label of the QSO and handwriting would not look too nice.
It would be nice if the label were big enough to replace all the printed info on a QSL card (see example of mine attached). The space at the bottom is for a personalised message that I like to put on every QSL I send, even if it is just a 'thanks for the QSO <handle here>, 73 Guy'.
I would still need more design flexibility than is currently present in Log4OM. Maybe it would be possible to import designs from DTP programs with placeholders for the info that Log4OM would add? I realise I would have to use a printer as the labels would be too big for a label printer.
(Could you add PDF to the list of valid extensions for attachments please?)

Guy,
This free software will do what you require, just send your database to BV and design any size of label to print on your ink jet printer

Re: Disable refresh on save
Creating a software for QSL'ing so complex and complete requires the creation of a brand new, fully featured software, that will be probably a "software in the software".
I cannot exclude we can do that in the future, we all have our own needs, but it's really complex to cover and master every aspect of the ham radio software

So complex that it looks like the last development in v7 was 30/7/2013. I am lacking in confidence that V8 will see the light of day. It looks like that there is an opening for an entrepreneurial ham mere.IW3HMH wrote:Creating a software for QSL'ing so complex and complete requires the creation of a brand new, fully featured software, that will be probably a "software in the software".

So much of the former great ham software has been left to rot by the side of the road.

Don't write BV off yet!
"Development is now finished on BV Version 7 and development on Next Generation BV Version 8 has begun. The first screenshots and a feature list will be available in 2015."
