It appears filtering it on the cluster tab will not work. Because when I do I get audible alerts for non NA spots I cant see.

You can have multiple cluster screen.
Each screen is customizable on specific needs. On the other side, alerts works on raw data provided by cluster. If not, you may miss an alert because you filtered out a specific beam direction or a specific situation in one of the clusters.

So, if you set an alert, this will triggers without regards of filters placed on cluster(s) visualization.
