Thanks for this Nolan. I will try it. I have not been able to get the alert to work. Even on the new version I just downloaded. South Orkney has not alerted me.
But I did not have Ignore statistics checked as to me that should not matter. I assumed if you entered a call it would alert you.
Trying now.
Alert - Does not play sound
Re: Alert - Does not play sound
"Ding Dong"...
That did work.
Thank you Nolan.
That did work.
Thank you Nolan.
Re: Alert - Does not play sound
Nolan, I apologize for my delayed response to your suggestion on how to set up Alert feature. Apparently everyone is having success using this feature but I am still in a bit of a quandary. I have followed your instructions precisely and when I finally end up Saving the Rule it shows the call sign of the station I want to be alerted for (ZL1NA/MM) under Existing Rules. The other side of that form is blank except for the Status button which is Red. When I left click on the Alert button (which is extinguished) above Grid on the main UI it shows the Cluster Alerts form with a green check mark and nothing else shown there. Is this normal? Now what do I do in order to invoke the Alarm (visual and sound) when ZL1NA/MM shows up on my chosen cluster? Anything or just wait for my spot to show up an give me an alarm?
Thanks again for your help with this.

Nolan, since setting up as described above I am getting periodic alarms on random spots, i.e., various unrelated call signs.KW4CQ wrote: 06 Mar 2020, 12:40 Nolan, I apologize for my delayed response to your suggestion on how to set up Alert feature. Do you have any other alerts you have configured and "running"? If you have Existing Rules in the left column of the Alert Management Tab if you highlight or left-click on them (one at a time) if they are "active" the status button will be GREEN. If they are "inactive" the status button will be RED and there will be an [OFF] label in front of each of the inactive rules.
If you have not tic'd the status button for your ZL1NA/MM rule it won't be working.
FWIW ... I just created a rule for ZL1NA/MM and did a "test spot" and it worked into the Alert system.
If you open the Alert Management window under the Management Tab the are two tabs near the bottom of the window. I use the Spot Simulation Tab and enter in the callsign for the Alert I configured and then click the green Spot Simulation button/bar to see if it shows up in my cluster and also cause the Alert to light/ding. This simulation just stays on your PC this way and one less line of clutter on the cluster.
I've got to step out for a couple hours, but I'll get your e-mail from QRZ and send you images that way of what I've tested so as to not clutter up the Forum thread.
As for the random spots I'm guessing you have an active Alert that might just be looking for a mode or band or some such.
