ok update, yes I am using win4yaesu suite, and when I shut it down, the reports stop blinking. but again they stop when I am running wsjtx and jtalert in FT8 mode, then blink in ft4 mode

You do understand that if using omnirig then all other programs need to use omnirig not the radio name and model don't you?

not sure why, they each have a virtual port of their own.. and I never have before. getting cat to work is not the issue.

No but port sharing with VSP might be causing your issues!

for now I have reverted back to version 2.26.0.7 and flicker does not happen

I have just reinstalled 2.28.0.0 and changed wsjt to also be on omnirig1. restarted both, and it still causing the report windows to blink on FT4.

what else can I correct to remedy this

Terry, I tried the 2.28 again, without the virtual port via win4yaesu. so log4om was running directr to com1 via omnirig 1.20

not only ft4 causes blinking, but other modes as well

going to try wsjt normal version next..

just reverted back to 2.25.0.0 and although the rst boxes dont flash, it appears to be related to mode of radio. if I set radio in usb, it will stay, but digital bands are confused. I am guessing because there are so many in the bandplan

anyway the mode flashes even in 2.25.0.0 so I guess we live with it, and minimize that screen. as long as it logs

I sure wish this could be addressed and resolved. It is so annoying to have the report fields rapidly blinking....a distraction during operation. If you want to input a SNR value manually, that can not be done. As soon as it blinks, it removes your entry.
