SOTA have added two more associations to the summit list KP4 Puerto Rico and VK6 as of 1st september 2014 - See: http://reflector.sota.org.uk/t/new-asso ... -2014/9314
Because SOTA do not include DXCC references in the summit list we provide a table (SotaAssociations.csv) to enable Log4om to identify the correct SOTA association from the list appropriate to the call sign being entered. If we did not do this the user would have to search the complete list of summits every time a SOTA contact was made.
The addition of these two new SOTA associations to the summit list requires the SotaAssociations.csv to be updated.
To ensure that users have the latest SOTA data in Log4om I will from time to time post a zip file on this forum which contains the latest summitlist.csv and and the updated SotaAssociations.csv.
The files should be unzipped and its contents copied to:
C:\Users\.........\AppData\Roaming\logOM folder
Users of the portable version should copy the files to the Portable config folder.
Allow the new files to replace/overwrite the existing files and then re-start Log4om for the changes to be implemented.
The next release of Log4om will include these updated files but of course with new summits regularly being added by SOTA it is advisable for SOTA chasers and activators to download the latest file from the SOTA database fairly often.
Just received an app specific download link for the summit list so hopefully we will be able to do this automatically in the near future
SOTA summit list csv download is here http://www.sotadata.org.uk/summits.aspx (Hint - Its at the bottom under the SOTA grid).

SOTA Associations update

Re: SOTA Associations update
Hi Terry,
I have updated the CSV summits file, firstly from your link below and then after, the csv file from the SOTA site. However, VK7 (Tasmania) which is now online still doesn't work.
This is what I am doing. I worked 2 VK7's last week after they had received approval to go live and before the SOTA database was fully active. I noted the SOTA site details in the comments box, thinking I would go back later and edit. I have recalled the QSO to edit but it STILL doesn't recognise there ARE VK7 summits. I looked in the SOTA Associations file that I see came with your link but cant see anything in there to edit as it only lists countries followed by a number. Any clues? Or shall I await your next update?

PS have been using the program now for some time and its just great for what I am using it for - SOTA plus the odd other DX contact.

Re: SOTA Associations update
We have just added an automatic download of the summitlist.csv to Log4om which is being Beta tested now.
Unfortunately the SOTAAssociations.csv file is not yet automated but perhaps at some time in the future we can add an automatic download from the Log4OM website the same as we do with the awards profiles.

Hi Terry,
Good stuff ...will certainly make this a lot easier.
I have just noticed that I have a problem with new Associations file. I thought I was having an issue with the latest version and uninstalled it and re-installed the 1.17 version but after loading in the new Associations file the same thing happens....there is no search capability with that file...put the older 22/8 file back and it works. Tried downloading again and same thing happens.
So ..can you have a look at that Associations file for me please....hope this makes sense.

Re: SOTA Associations update
Hi Terry,
Yes ...thought it would be fine your end ...my bad luck
...but at my end when I load the new associations file, I can no longer search summits and nor does the default VK1 info come up in the box ...so I cant give you any examples as such.
So ...this is what I tried. I logged vk1di/p who was up on vk2/nt-002 this morning. With the Sota Associations file I downloaded from the site nothing comes up in the SOTA area. When I put in the summit nothing appears and when I save the QSO no SOTA reference appears. Take that file out and replace it with the 22/8 and all is back to normal. The only thing I noticed is that with the latest file it looks like a colon appears on the LHS in the blue bar where the searched summit would appear resolved. Also none of the drop down fields contain any data with the new associations file.
Weird...so I have the latest summits file but the 22/8 associations file and it works bit it still doesn't know about vk7. To prove that I went back and edited one of my 2 qso's on VK7 summits and no, it wont search for the vk7 summits.

Re: SOTA Associations update
I think the issue is in the SUMMITSLIST.CSV file downloaded from SOTA...

Re: SOTA Associations update
Have checked this with the new downloaded "Summitslist.csv" from 2day ......
When looking for NSW i got the next popup that let me search for the NT-xxx Sota numbers ....
I just worked with the actual summitslist.csv but file is too big to attach it to this posting
Have uploaded this to the following link adress to download: http://www.share-online.biz/dl/QVJ8Q6DNUHV
