wrong mode in mode box

When clicking on a station I want to log, the qso box mode is correct unless I try to log a RTTY station. It always comes up SSB in the mode box. works fine when logging cw or phone stations. Any Ideas?

Earl, depending on radio you are using and also the rig control s/w you are using (omnirig or hamlib) not all modes the radio has are "followed" by the software. Try this..... to log your contact as RTTY, click on the yellow padlock to the right of the mode box, then find RTTY in the mode drop down just to the left of the padlock and select it. When you have finished RTTY, click the padlock again to unlock the mode and return to ssb / cw

Yes, unfortunately the "cluster protocol" is not so wise to include mode, so we can try to understand mode from bandplan... but digital modes are not in the bandplan...
