RTTY?

Post by K0HB »

Is there any RTTY application or plug-in which I can integrate with Log4OM?

Hi Hans,

DM780 & Fldigi can be integrated to work with L4O and both "understand" RTTY ...but only AFSK RTTY by Soundcard. If you mean FSK RTTY i am not shure that there is an application that makes FSK RTTY possible.

Lele and Terry must be answere this :) :)
73´s .. Juergen ... ALT-512 SDR (10W) , 50 m random wire at SG-211 autotuner, 2 x Xiegu G90 (20W HF TRX) one as portable Radio. Also TS-790E (40 W) for VHF/UHF with X-50 vertical and Duoband 4-Element LPDA.

Hi Guys,

The short answer is unfortunately no!

However MixW and MTTY both provide FSK RTTY and I am hopefully that at some time in the future one or both of these will be integrated with Log4om, its on the list :D

I am using MixW for FSK and then I export an ADIF for import into Log4OM

MixW uses Omnirig so both Log4om and MixW are synchronized for band, mode and frequency due to the multi-threading capability of Omnirig

Hi,
In my opinion the best approach should be FSK -RTTY with Fldigi.
FlDigi seems to have a better behaviour on reception, and in other hand, has some interesting functions not present in others.
In Fldigi there is an option for Pseudo RTTY / CW, and there is some interfaces to build to handle and make it work FSK.
I am thinking to build one to have FSK and CW with FLDigi.

@ Manuel

Fldigi is a great software but it can´t handle FSK RTTY and real CW keyed by com port or winkeyer or things like this. If you like to have it possible in Fldigi only the programmer can do it ;) ;)

@ Terry,

i have a MixW2 license but never worked with this software (only testing) .... Not easy to handle (like Multi PSK) and i love Fldigi and in contestst i love loggers which has integrated MMTTY and MMVari (last one can handle also RTTY and PSK modes in AFSK) .... B.t.w. ... MixW is not a freeware so i think it´s better to use a free engine in a free logger ;) ;)

Hi Juergen

Today morning, in FLDigi forum I post a message asking if there is any intention to have FSK and real CW. No answer yet...
What about a " collective petition" to the programmer asking for this function? ;)

I agree Juergen and now that MMTTY is open source it could be a good choice

I use MMTTY with N1MM+ for contesting and like it. It does both FSK and AFSK. I would love to see MMTTY interface with Log4OM, as it does with N1MM, as there is already a model for it. Just my vote...

OK, thanks for the answers. Soundcard AFSK doesn't appeal to me.

I use MMTTY with WriteLog for contesting and the marriage works well. Would love the same type of integration to L4O.
