Lookup Feature

Post by N4IAG »

Hello, first I would like to thank Daniele and all involved, for such a wonderful software and the hard work you do.

I'm a new user and still learning, so forgive me if the following has been previously discussed.

My suggestion would be for the addition of a lookup feature added to the right-click menu for callsigns in the logbook (recent QSO tab). It would be nice to easily visit/revisit an amateurs personal QRZ/HamQth page to view their bio, photos, etc. Also, the ability to do the same for Google Earth lookups would be nice.

Steve,

I agree! This has been suggested before (QRZ and HamQTH lookup at least) and would be a most welcome addition. It may be on the list, but I have not heard of any progress to that end, of late. Thanks for mentioning this!

Thank you for the reply, Don. I think maybe I wasn't clear.

I'm aware that there is a Lookup button. What I was suggesting was adding a right-click shortcut so one could do a quick QRZ or HamQth lookup of a previously recorded QSO without retyping the call sign or changing options. And also the ability to do the same for Google Earth lookups.

May I extend an idea with suggestion to add options so we can set more custom lookup links (meaning setting custom URL and macro that is replaced with callsign) so we can customize as we need?

Also I prefer to open such lookups in external standard web browser. Opening in internal frame is far to limiting.
