Hi,
Since downloading the new version I have noticed that my cluster spots are clearing after only 10 minutes?
Is this normal or have I got a setting wrong?
I thought they stayed active for about an hour or so in the older version.
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Time limit on cluster spots
I don't think Daniele has changed anything in the cluster in this release!

Hi Terry,
I would be interested to see if anyone else is experiencing this.
If not, it is something at my end.
I wonder if it is a setting on the actual cluster I connect to? I am using VE7CC.

Re: Time limit on cluster spots
on my side the cluster spot is working fine and I do not notice any 10min deleting rules
perhaps it depends on you spot source; consider also that in this we the cqww in running and rule spot retain policies could have been changed

I have also observed the 10 minute limit here with the new release. I use currently cluster dxfun.com.

Re: Time limit on cluster spots
After playing with some options I found the following:
the option "Show cluster ungrouped" is the reason for the 10 min limit. After switching off this checkbox the limit is gone.
It would be great to get rid of this limit also in the cluster ungrouped situation.

Re: Time limit on cluster spots
It's not a time limit. Spot will be purged only when older than 1 hour.
With cluster ungrouped you probably hit a performance limit that is set to 200 spots.
I'll check if this can be increased (actually is coded in the software)

Re: Time limit on cluster spots
reproduce me too the 10 minutes clearing rule selecting or deselecting the show cluster ungrouped option.
I normally left unchecked, but I did not found in the manual what is for !
Daniele, what is the functionality for?

Re: Time limit on cluster spots
Usually in the cluster you could have more than one single spot on the same call. Each spot contains informations on the contact, but you should search for them in the previous spots, making unnecessary noise.
Log4OM by default groups spot on same band and mode, so you can see only the last spot for every callsign. Right clicking on the spot will show all previous informations related to the same callsign without need to search for them in the list. Of course you will see only 30 spots instead of 200 but informations now automatically grouped and nothing lost.
Spot will always show frequency and time as reported the latest info received.
If you ungroup, cluster will work in traditional mode
