Update Instructions

Hello,

I've gathered from some of the other topics here that the update requires an uninstall and reinstall. It also looks like there is a file or two that I need to copy and/or rename.

Can someone point me to the step-by-step update instructions so I don't loose any settings?

The procedure is quiet straightforward

1. Make a backup, even though it is unlikely you will need it
2. Uninstall the old program, using the uninstaller provided or from the Windows control panel
3. Download the new release and install it

All settings and data will be retained

Do not delete any other files just let the uninstaller do it's job

Thanks Terry. Clearly I was over-thinking it. The updates seems to have worked great.

I am a new user and am enjoying the program so far. Quite a bit more intuitive than the logger I was using previously.

Maybe a stupid question: How about the Pocket Version ? Don't have an uninstaller there ......

With the Portable (pocket) version

If you are using a version prior to V1.19 then install to a new location (card, drive, memory card) then copy your old config over the config in the latest 1.19

If you are using V1.19 or later just unzip to the original location and overwrite the original files
