New install. cluster problem

Post by W7MCP »

Hello, I recently had to get a new shack computer. The new PC is Windows 8. The old one was WinXP. I ran Log4OM on the XP computer for several months without issue. Very good program. An hour ago I downloaded and installed the newest version of Log4Om on the Win 8 pc. Everything is working other than the cluster. I have never had issues with it before. Try to connect to any of the available cluster hosts and i get it requiring a login. I see there is an option to run a script. I added my call to this and the response is W7MCp is not a valid callsign. Or some just say login. i am not real familiar with scripts. Is there something else I need to do?

73 and thanks

The <Callsign> takes the call sign entered in the station info and sends it so the script should be something like this

// use <callsign> command to send your callsign to the server.
<callsign>
sh/mydx/50

Not

// use <callsign> command to send your callsign to the server.
W7MCP
sh/mydx/50

Of course you must have registered with the cluster to be recognised at login

Thank you. I will give that a try. I never had to register before. But it makes sense.

it should work with your callsign too...
the <callsign> trick is used to send your current configured callsign without need to change script for each profile...

strange
