Massive Change G to V

Post by w0ls »

I am trying to get LOTW qsl's to match Log4OM LOTW confirmed. So I created a test database and did a download of all LOTW entries. When that completed I has quite a number of Q's in Log4OM change from "V" to "G" because of award fields being changed. How do I change those G's back to V's with a few commands. I started doing it one at a time but got tired. And beyond that why did they change from V to G.

Thanks for all the help...I am getting close.

Use the QSO archive manager

Sort for all of the QSO with granted then select the and bulk edit the field to Y

I did a YouTube video tutorial about the bulk editor, search on Google for it

They only change from V to G "IF" the unique QSO was used for and granted an award credit.

If you look at your ARRL LOTW account>Recent QSLs it will show you all the matched QSOs you have in your LOTW logbook. It will also show you the credits granted (green check marks for each QSO) or pending credits (black check marks). Some may have one credit (CW or Mixed or Challenge or all of them) depending on how you applied the QSO for an award submission.

Hope this helps you understand. Best wishes! :D

Being a rookie at this I did not know how to construct the query for the field. So I just used
the QSO archive manger to clear the field in all QSO's and that worked but probably was
not very efficient. How would I construct the query for "credit granted" field containing anything?

And Chuck thanks for your explanation about what was passed from lotw...that helped a lot.

To find "credit granted" or any other field that contains data use

"Not equal to" then leave the contents field empty

This finds all of the fields which have something in them - Not equal to empty

Conversely you can also look for empty fields by using

"Equal to" and then leave the contents field empty

This finds any field that is empty - Equals empty or nothing

Great info thanks Terry. I have also down loaded some SQlite documentation which I will look over.
