Disable refresh on save

I have disable refresh on save selected in QSL management, and when I save and exit the update QSO box, the QSL management list refreshes. I would expect it not to refresh.

If you update a single QSO it will refresh the information......
It will not refresh when you use the on-screen qsl functions (update status, sent date, received date and so on).
Did you confirm if you're updating the QSO with QSO management screen?

I'll explain my workflow to make things clearer.
I use the QSL management screen. I run a search for QSL sent 'no' as I only want a list to which I have not sent paper QSLs - I can provide a screen cast of you would like.
I double-clock on a QSO to access and exit the necessary details. When I save and exit the screen (QSL management list) refreshes. I wish 'disable refresh on safe' would do just that - not refresh the main screen when I save and exit the QSO details.
Please let me know if you would like the screencast.

Any more news on this matter?
Thanks

I double-clock on a QSO to access and exit the necessary details.
Why do you double click and save, what exactly are you editing?

I am changing the QSL sent info, all three boxes, and then saving and exiting. Irrespective of what is being changed, 'disable refresh on save' does not seem to be doing what it says on the tin because I do get a refresh on save when the box is ticked.
Does 'disable refresh on save' only work with certain changed parameters and not for others?

Let's be specific!
Are you changing the QSL sent status, QSL route (by) and sent date?

Yes, that's right.

I understand that you dislike the label print routine in Log4om which would have automatically updated the QSL sent status, date and via information so as you are manually writing cards this is the procedure for updating - You don't need to double click a QSO and edit
.
Follow the steps below.........

.

- QSL marking 2.jpg (208.95 KiB) Viewed 5606 times
.

- QSL marking 3.jpg (211.28 KiB) Viewed 5606 times
If you leave the 'Disable refresh on save' unchecked then you will just see the remaining QSO's where the QSL received status was No

I would love the label printing method if I could have much more control on the layout and content of the label. I would like the label to look special rather than the heavily generic look it has at the moment.
Your method is effectively what I am doing except I am updating each QSO one by one.
I was expecting 'disable refresh on save' to disable the refresh of the list one has from 'Search - QSL sent - NO' (your QSL Marking 1.jpg) when one saved and exits from a QSO details, especially as you mentioned the feature in a thread where I was bemoaning the fact that the list refreshes and resets the sort order (where one has to click on the column header twice to reset it). I was expecting this feature to stop this. 'Disable refresh on save' is a very general term and it seems that the features does not work as expected if one takes that term literally. TBH, 'disable refresh on save' does not describe what this feature actually does, strange as the check box does have a button that does refresh the listing, expecting 'disable refresh on save' to mean what I thought as the button does; in effect, the button defines what refresh means. Maybe the text should only show in the 'update' tab and should say 'see recently edited and un-edited QSOs'.
What is the advantage of having this feature? I was very happy about it when you first mentioned it in another thread as that would have been perfect for me.
The method you outline is very useful and will consider doing from now on, except that the default columns do not show the exact frequency or the OM's name, which one can get by examining the QSO in more detail, which I do by double clicking. I will add the frequency and operator's name to the search window and give your mass changing method a go. One advantage of double clicking the QSO is that one can copy the callsign with just a right click in order to paste it into QRZ.com to check if the station accepts cards via the bureau. I also mark many QSOs 'I' if I have LoTW confirmation if paper QSLs are not accepted via the bureau.
I am really not trying to be difficult on this. I hope you can see what I mean.
