Being a new user of Log4OM, I was going through the setup of the CAT function to work with my Icom 751. I downloaded Omnirig per instructions and found that it read the frequency of the rig just fine. But then I noticed the when I changed bands or did anything that changed the rig's settings from the Log4OM program that the information was not transmitted to the rig. Was it hardware or software? After much head scratching, I decided to try another logging program that used Omnirig as the CAT interface. It controlled the rig as expected. Looking closely at the parameters in Omnirig setup file for the 751, I saw that the working program had DTR and RTS set "low". The program that I downloaded for the Log4OM had the Omnirig parameters for DTR and RTS set "high".
I changed them to "low" on the Log4OM Omnirig program and everything suddenly worked as expected. Apparently the default settings on the downloaded for the Omnirig program were incorrect for the 751 in regard to DTS and RTS. Hopefully this discovery will save someone hours of troubleshooting.

Omnirig Configuration problem IC-751
Re: Omnirig Configuration problem IC-751
Thanks Bob for the feedback. It will no doubt be a help to other users with a 751.
