I recently upgraded from Windows 7 (32 bit) to Windows 10(32 bit). LOG4OM starts ok but if I try to edit a QSO from the "Recent QSO" tab I get the little blue rotating 'I'm thinking' flag, the program halts with the message "not responding" in the program header just after the sunspot details. I have reinstalled LOG4OM as administrator and I have checked the little "run as administrator" box in the programme advanced properties menu after right clicking the LOG4OM icon. I have also just tried using the "run as administrator " instruction.
Once halted if I do nothing the program eventually closes or I have to force it to close with task manager.
Entering new QSO's does not seem to be a problem, with the log being updated with the
new details.
Of course what has changed is that my Windows log in name and passwords are now different as windows 10 logs in with access to One Drive.

Have you tried uninstalling Log4OM and then doing a fresh install?

Re: Window 10 upgrade and failing QSO Edit
Well the fix was ony temporary as editing qso's has failed again with the program locking up. I have had a quick look at the log and I am apparently logged as administrator
" #=qcoFPcEBAlLNM6ZABBNyo74xi64gW6GTmArn3_V1N66s=: ############## USER IS ADMINISTRATOR ############## "
I can't see any errors but the last entry is the insruction for edit when the proram falls over " #=qcoFPcEBAlLNM6ZABBNyo74xi64gW6GTmArn3_V1N66s=: *Calling UPDATE QSO FORM on QSO Call: FT4JA Date: 20160405 Time: 140035 Band: 20m Mode: CW* ".
The very next entry is where I restart the program
"2016-04-07 13:37:36.6724 INFO: LogWriter: #################################################################################################################
2016-04-07 13:37:36.6881 INFO: LogWriter: ########################################## PROGRAM STARTED ######################################################
2016-04-07 13:37:36.7193 INFO: LogWriter: ################################################################################################################# ".
Hope this helps.

Have you tried installing and running the portable version?
Please send me the 'Bug report' Help/Send bug report" from the currently installed version
Ensure that you FIRST enable 'Trace' and repeat the process leading to the error
Check the bug report box to include an ADIF file

Re: Window 10 upgrade and failing QSO Edit
This kind of crash is often caused to a problem in your Microsoft .NET Framework installation.
Any kind of crash caused by Log4OM (bad code) is catched, at last instance, by the start routine, that is logging everything i'm missing to intercept as a managed error into a "fatal error".
In your case Log4Om abruptly closes without any sign of error. This is (and was in some recent cases) caused by something incorrect in Microsoft .NET Framework
Can you reinstall Microsoft .NET Framework 4 (full)?
This could be source of issues with other software that is using the same framework...

Re: Window 10 upgrade and failing QSO Edit
Microsoft .NET Framework does not appear as a program that can be uninstalled.
Windows 10 pro will not let me reinstall Microsoft.NET Framework as it says that it is part of the operating system. I have tried switching .NET applications off and on from 'Windows Features' but to no avail. As an aside the only .NET features listed are " .NET Framework 3.5(includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0) " and ".NET Framework 4.6 Advanced Services. " There is no mention of Microsoft .NET Framework 4 (full)
There is listed as an installed program Microsoft ASP.NET MVC 4 Runtime. Is this the same feature?
Many thanks
