LOTW Downloads

Post by kc2nyu »

I am having an issue with downloading vefired contacts from LOTW. I made several contacts over the last week that uploaded just fine to LOTW using Log4OM. When I do a download from LOTW, I put in a date range that covers that week, and start the download, it says zero records downloaded. But if I log into the LOTW site and check those QSOs, it shows them as verified. So, just as an experiment, I exported the contacts to HRD Logbook. Then I did a download from LOTW to HRD Logbook. There, in the HRD Logbook, the contacts show as Verified. So I have some sort of an issue with downloading to Log4OM, that I have not been able to figure out. Any ideas on where to look, or what might be causing this issue??

so , I tried another LOTW download today and still having same problem, I had at least one new confirmation at the ARRL LOTW web site, that had been confirmed or verified. So I did a Log4OM download and got this:
5/2/2016 2:40:32 PM: Begin ADIF generation request
5/2/2016 2:40:32 PM: Login kc2nyu
5/2/2016 2:40:32 PM: qso_qslsince 2016-04-24
5/2/2016 2:40:33 PM: ADIF request accepted
5/2/2016 2:40:33 PM: ADIF document downloaded
5/2/2016 2:40:33 PM: ADIF document parsed: 0 qso found.

So I did a HRD Logbook download and did get the confirmation. My LOTW uploads using Log4OM work fine, but I can not find where I have a setup error that is causing the issue with the lack of successful downloads???

Paul,
There are 4 items in each QSO that must match exactly with the LOTW record. They are the call sign, the date, mode and band. The time is plus/minus 30 minutes.

Did you upload to LOTW using the same station ID, location and password?

Chuck- thanks for the reply. Yes all four of those category items do match between what I have in Log4OM and what is at the ARRL Lotw site.
The odd thing is that the Verifications download fine to the HRD Logbook and I have compared the data for each QSO between the two. In fact for two of the QSOs I exported the data from Log4Om to HRD Logbook. Also of note is that I uploaded the QSO from Log4OM to Arrl LOTW and it shows a match. So it appears that the data is good and the uploads from Log4OM are fine. I am stumped and am hoping someone in the Forum can help.

OK, I just did an experiment with my settings and you have an error in your LOTW password in the settings>external logs tab. Reenter it and check it closely. It's impossible to see as it is ********.

I changed my password to check this out and I then get exactly what you show, 0 parsed.

Chuck - you are the Man ! you nailed it, I re-entered the password and bingo, it worked. Download a bunch of verifications. I Assumed (you know where that gets you) :D because the uploads appeared to be working that the password had to be fine. Can't thank you enough for figuring that out.
