Hello
My friend has upgraded his log40m a couple of weeks ago and has then lost all the data and config info 3 times now.
He's a bit of an IT dummy and so he asks me to teamview in and try to sort it (I don't use it so I'm no expert here).
Each time I can find a database which I connect but not any config file so he has to re-enter his details.
Where can I find the user config file?
I looked in help/config but can't see any file named 'localhost' which is what he called it.
Can you please let me know how to find it as it's not very user-friendly to me.
Thanks
Stu

Re: lost config files
The config file is named config.xml and its normally located here:
C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\AppData\Roaming\LogOM
Normally there is a backup of the files in
C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\AppData\Roaming\LogOM\Backup
'Loclhost' refers t the address of his computer not a file, like 127.0.0.1

Re: lost config files
Thanks for that, I'll check it out.
localhost is the name he has been giving to his station profile for some reason, that's why I was looking for it.
Let's hope it will settle down and behave itself.

Re: lost config files
Tell the bloke to use a sensible name for his configuration like G2AYZ Main logbook - Localhost is recognised by the computer as being the actual computer and may cause issue.
Cant imagine why he would choose that name?
