TQSL duplicate error

I have imported ADIF files from three ARRL Field Days and one NAQP, all logged with N3FJP software, 288 total QSOs.
There are duplicate callsigns in these logs. For example, I have Arizona callsign in two separate FD's (one year and 10 minutes apart, which I find entertaining) and the NAQP. Some might say they are not *technically* duplicates because the times and dates don't match, so I don't think the ADIF import engine ignored any of them and obviously, I can find them all manually by sorting by callsign and just scrolling down the list.
The trouble is that I want to upload these logs to LOTW and TQSL gives me an error when I attempt it. It says that it found a duplicate on line (whatever, 8 I think) and gives me the option to continue signing the file ignoring the error or cancel. If I ignore, it seems to hang at that step, never doing anything else. I can close the dialog box. Once I have done this one time, subsequent attempts give the following errors:
No records to upload
Final Status: Unknown (13)
Unrecognized Answer from TQSL. Value is 13
OPERATION COMPLETED
A bit of Googling indicates that error 13 has something to do with the duplicates database being locked. I can't help thinking that closing the dialog box after waiting for no more updates in the original upload attempt might have left the database in a bad state.
I need to unlock the duplicates database, but I also need to solve the original problem, where it seems to shine on a duplicate QSO
