Deleted Log by accident
Deleted Log by accident
I did a system restore to recover a 'lost' program on my Laptop (Lenovo 4050). During this recovery (which was successful), my QSO log was wiped out. Regretfully no backup was done. Is there a way I can recover the lost Log records?
Re: Deleted Log by accident
Do a search for a file with the extension .SQLite
You can also look for a file with the extension of .adi which would be a backup that Log4OM created when you last closed the program.
If both turns up nothing, you have lost it forever.

Thanks Chuck - neither worked
however, the calls that count were recorded in QRZ.com and PSK are automatically logged. Others were local QSO's so no real damage done. Kind regards & best 73, Francois ZS6BUU.

Have you checked in your user settings folder, where ADIF backups are made?
(open HELP MENU -> OPEN CONFIG FOLDER item)
If your restore doesn't have wiped out your configuration you should find here a backup folder...

Thanks for all the assistance. I eventually found the answer by wishing to post a new entry which indicated "No Database Loaded" or words to that effect. I went into my 'File Explorer' and found the log - clicked on it - and it restored all information up to the entry I wished to enter. Nothing was lost. Simple solution - one I never thought of.
