Log4om release 1.28.0

Post by VK7XX »

A question if I may. Because of my terrible typing of calls etc,I use mainly manual logging and, when using JT digi modes I also use manual band selection. In version 1.27.0, If I accidentally log a contact on the wrong band, when I edit the contact not only do I have to change the band in the 'OSO information" window, but I also must change the band in the "Satellite" window. If I leave the 'satellite' band unchanged I get an error when I try uploading to LOTW.

I havent actually logged any bad contacts with 1.28.0 as yet but am wondering, is it still necessary to edit 'satellite' band if/when I do make an error ???

and if it is necessary, can this be fixed in the next release ??

thanks
John

Thank you for looking Lele.

Since I first noticed this, I have been scratching my head wondering why 'satellite' mode was being recorded when I was not actually doing any satellite work. I think that this was happening with versions up to 1.27.0 and is still in the log for all those prior contacts.. I notice that 'satellite' is no longer recorded for 'normal' qso's in version 1.28.0. So it is only those older QSO's that need the fix.

regards
John
