[solved] - Add new mode

A search for "add mode" failed but I know I have seen some directions before.

I am using a new experimental JT mode called JT10 and I would like to add it to all the JTs that there are in Log4OM. The correct mode gets passed to Log4OM from JTAlert, but I cannot edit it in so I need to add it to the dropdown options in the QSO information tab in edit QSO.

How do I do this pls? IIRC,I just have to edit a file.

Open Log4OM, klick on HELP Button, klick on "Open configuration folder" ... look for modelist.csv and open it with Notepad++ or equivalent ...
Insert a row below JT9 and in this empty row type in JT10;JT10;JT10 then save and restart Log4OM that the change take effect.

Be happy with the new mode in the dropdown list :D :D

Hi Juergen,

I did the modification to that file and your suggestion did not work. No JT10 yet :( .

Working fine here with the changes i described .... Did you use the correct separartion with a ; betwee the first and second JT10 ??? Do not use : that´s the wrong sign. And b.t.w. have you restarted Log4OM after you make this new entry in the list ??

Here my screenshot .... I work with 1.28.0 too. ;) ;)

Hi,

I did all as you advised. Please see my screenshots and see if you can spot anything wrong. Modelist.csv was the file edited.

All is looking fine as it is and normally it must work. Did you have restartet log4OM after modifying and saving the file ??

Yes, I did the restarts.

Can I just confirm that the file to be modified is modelist.csv? There was another similarly sounding file present. I am in one of my Linux distros at the moment, but working from memory, it was modeuserlist.csv or similar. Could I have modified the wrong file?

I am sure that it is something silly that I have not done properly, but I do not like to let computers win, hi hi.

If there is a user list that is the one the program uses so yes you modified the wrong file

modelist.csv should be saved as modelist_user.csv or will be wiped out on next release.
