I'm a new Log4OM user and just installed the application today. I installed it as "Administrator" as the documentation says. I got everything configured according to the user manual, and then created a database and imported my log data from an ADIF file.
Everything seemed to work okay, but the program would crash when sitting idle for a few minutes, even when I wasn't doing anything.
I tried uninstalling the program and re-installing it (as "Administrator"), but now things are even worse. The program starts, but crashes before it even fully displays the UI. I'm running it as "Administrator". I tried uninstalling it and re-installing it again, but the same thing happens: it crashes before it completes its start-up.
My computer has an Intel Core i5 CPU, 16GB of RAM, Windows 7 Professional, Service Pack 1, 64-bit. Log4OM v1.31.1.0.

Is there any old, stale data or configuration information I need to delete before I try installing it again to ensure a clean install? I ask this because even after I uninstall it and re-install it, when I run it it displays "User Profile: W6UV" on the title bar, so it's obviously picking up some old configuration data. How do I delete this old configuration so it starts up clean when I do a fresh install?
Thanks and 73, Jerry, W6UV

Re: Log4OM Crashes on Start
Delete the config.xml and Communicatorconfig.xml files in the folder C:\Users\your user name\AppData\Roaming\LogOM to remove the original set up after first having uninstalled Log4OM then download a fresh download and then reinstall

Terry,
Thanks! Deleting those two files and reinstalling fixed the problem. Now Log4OM is rock solid on my machine.
